SLAM basketball for Term 3 will be officially launched at the JD Hardie Youth Zone at 5.30pm this Friday.
Special guests and speakers from across Hedland will launch the event on the JD’s Basketball Courts.
Run approximately 40 times per financial year, SLAM is a youth diversionary program which seeks to engage young people across Hedland with physical activity, socialising and educational messages from key community groups.
This Term, SLAM is made possible by Roy Hill as Gold Sponsor, Fortescue Metals Group as Silver Sponsor and Rio Tinto, the Pilbara Ports Authority and Atlas Iron as Bronze Sponsors.
Training workshops, competitions and special prizes are all on the courts this Term, with an action packed itinerary planned.
