Live it, Tell it, Do it For Your Chance to Win!

Hedland residents are being asked to spread the word and participate in the Town of Port Hedland’s 2019 annual perception survey.

The survey, part of the Live It, Tell It, Do It campaign, is designed to accurately gauge the community’s perception of the Town of Port Hedland’s performance against the Strategic Community Plan’s (SCP) progress measures.

Between October and December 2017, over 5,800 direct community interactions were recorded, forming the data-driven basis for the SCP’s development.

Hon. Commissioner Fred Riebeling said broad participation in the 2019 perception survey would ensure Council continued making decisions which reflect the community’s priorities.

“2017's Live It, Tell It campaign directly informed the decisions Council have made since adopting the 2018-2028 SCP.

“Live it, Tell It, Do It is the chance to measure the progress we’ve made and inform us of where we need to make improvements.

“Last year there was an excellent uptake of the survey, and community responses directly informed which projects and initiatives took priority.

“For instance, last year respondents said that they were concerned about a lack of childcare availability in Hedland and as a result the Town are investing in infrastructure and facilitating other initiatives that will allow for the provision of more childcare places.

“The survey closes on 5 December, so visit www.porthedland.wa.gov.au to have your say on Hedland’s future now.”

The survey is user-friendly, only takes ten minutes, and participants will have the chance to win one of two travel vouchers valued at $1000 each.

Hard copies are available at the Civic Centre, South Hedland Library, JD Hardie Youth Zone and Wanangkura Stadium.
