Get ready to laugh out loud this May as world class comedy shows take over the Matt Dann Theatre and Cinema.
On Tuesday 14 May at 7pm, The Big Hoo Haa will bring the best of improvised comedy to the stage, with two teams of fearless comedians battling it out.
On Saturday 18 May at 7.30pm, The Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow will feature some of the biggest names in Australian Comedy in the spotlight.
Mayor Camilo Blanco welcomed the shows’ announcement as a chance for locals to experience world class entertainment.
“The Big Hoo Haa is a unique live experience, where impromptu lines and unexpected scenarios mean every show is different.
“People will get the chance to see comedians perform on the fly, which is unlike anything they’ve witnessed before.
“The Melbourne Comedy Show is always popular on the Hedland Calendar, as people get to see the biggest names in the country on the local stage.
“Very soon, we’ll be announcing the line-up for the show.
“Both of these shows contribute to the Matt Dann Theatre and Cinema’s strong repertoire of arts and cultural experiences which cater for locals’ tastes.”
