Have your say on off-leash dog park in South Hedland

Published on Tuesday, 18 February 2020 at 2:29:51 PM

Community members are invited to have their say on a proposed temporary off-leash dog park in South Hedland’s Marie Marland Reserve.

An agenda item will be presented to Council on 26 February on the subject: if this item is adopted, construction can start.

The Dog Act 1976 requires Council to formally approve an area where dogs can be exercised off leash.

The Town would also like to hear your feedback on what features you’d like in a dog park, and key components you feel would be accessible and useful to dog owners.

A permanent off-leash dog park facility is part of the South Hedland Integrated Sports Complex (SHISC) masterplan: feedback will help inform the features of this permanent facility.
