Fertiliser works to improve soil conditions and growth at Hedland parks

The community are advised that fertiliser works are due to take place at a number of parks in Port and South Hedland from Wednesday, 18 November and continue through to Friday, 20 November 2020.

Areas affected during this time are as follows;

Port Hedland

  • Cemetery Beach
  • Civic Centre Gardens
  • Don Rhodes Park
  • Lions Park

South Hedland

  • Forrest Circle
  • Tonkin Street
  • Throssell Road
  • Koombana Park
  • Elements Park
  • Limestone Park
  • Shay Gap Park
  • Cyclone George Park
  • Daylesford Park

You may notice a mild odour after these works have taken place, additional irrigation is scheduled to mitigate the smell as much as possible.

These works are part of the annual fertiliser program to help promote healthy growing and improve soil conditions of local parksThe Town’s Strategic Community Plan 2018-2028 seeks to deliver community wide access to attracitve built form, parks and amenities.

Please be mindful of signage and workers in the vicinity for the duration of works.
