The community are advised that fertiliser works are due to take place at a number of sporting ovals in Port and South Hedland from Tuesday, 15 December and continue through to Friday, 18 December 2020.

Areas affected during this time are as follows;

Fertilise and aerate the goal squares and surrounding areas:

  • Kevin Scott Oval
  • Colin Matheson Oval.

You may notice a mild odour after these works have taken place, additional irrigation is scheduled to mitigate the smell as much as possible.

Fertiliser works with a granular fertilizer that does not have any odour:

  • Marie Marland Oval
  • McGregor Oval.

These works are part of the annual fertiliser program to help promote healthy growth of our sporting ovals and improve soil conditions.
