Community invited to share their thoughts at our Conversation Cafes

Published on Friday, 10 November 2017 at 12:00:00 AM

The Town of Port Hedland completed its second 'Live It Tell It' event yesterday with a pop-up at the South Hedland Square.

The event featured our giant blue 'Live It Tell It' cube which allowed community members to write and voice what they think makes Hedland special.

Shoppers were asked to pick their top five places by dropping tokens into containers which represented the major facilities around Port and South Hedland. They were also encouraged to complete a quick survey that addressed issues concerning the proposed marina, transport, community safety, facilities and events, rates, recycling, and green spaces.

The next popup at the South Hedland Square will be held on Saturday 11 November, 9am - 12 pm.

The Town of Port Hedland also encourages community members to attend the public Conversation Cafés on Monday 13 November at Wanangkura Stadium from 6pm-8pm and on Tuesday 14 November, at the same location from 1pm-3pm.

The engagement will take participants through a number of interactive activities, providing an opportunity for residents to brainstorm in groups and share their thoughts and ideas on core areas affecting the town.
