To celebrate Seniors Week, the Town of Port Hedland would like to invite senior community members to a free morning tea on Wednesday 13 November, which will be held at Gratwick Hall at the Civic Centre.
Attendees will be treated to free food, refreshments and a special guest speaker – Robyn Todd, Community Garden Coordinator from Care for Hedland.
Hon. Fred Riebeling said Seniors Week was a special time of celebration for Western Australian seniors.
“We would like to show our appreciation for the valued contribution to society that older community members have made.
“There are countless people who have shaped Hedland throughout its history to make it the town it is today, and many of these people are still living in our community.
“It will be an excellent opportunity for Hedland seniors to mingle and impart their wisdom while enjoying the space within the newly refurbished Gratwick Hall.”
Seniors Week morning tea will take place from 10:30 am to midday on 13 November. Free shuttle buses are available to and from the event – please RSVP for details.
RSVPs (for catering purposes) can be made at the Library in South Hedland, or via sthlib@porthedland.wa.gov.au. For more information, please call 9158 9373.
