Harmony Day is an annual celebration of Australia’s diversity and coincides with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination; the ongoing theme of Harmony Day is ‘everyone belongs’.
To celebrate Harmony Day in 2019 the Town of Port Hedland invites you to a free picnic to engage us all to understand the cohesive and inclusive nature of Australia and recognise the benefits and opportunity of our cultural diversity.
The Picnic will take place on Thursday, March 21 from 8:30 am – 10:30 am at Marquee Park, South Hedland.
Activities for the picnic are designed for families with children aged 0-5, however, everyone is welcome to come and celebrate how our differences make Australia a great place to live.
There will be an opportunity for attendees to make their own healthy snack on the day, additionally, it is encouraged that attendees also bring their own picnics, water bottles, rugs, and hats.
