Published on Monday, 27 May 2019 at 11:13:31 AM

The Town of Port Hedland is undertaking intersection renewal works at the corner of Cajarina Road and Harwell Way in Wedgefield, improving road usability for local businesses and residents.

Works will be completed in two phases, involving the relocation of an existing light pole, demolition and construction of a kerb, asphalt overlay and line marking.

The light pole relocation will occur on Monday 27 May, with no road closure required.

A site survey will occur on Wednesday 29 May, with no road closure required.

The preparation of a base course will occur between Thursday 30 May and Wednesday 5 June, with a partial road closure required.

Demolition and construction of the kerb will be completed in one day between Wednesday 5 June and Tuesday 11 June, with a partial road closure required.

Phase two of the works will involve full road closure for an asphalt overlay, and partial road closure for line marking: works dates are TBC.

Please be advised that care is being taken by the Town and our contractors to minimise the impact to the community, with traffic management in place (see figure 1).
