All firebreaks and fire prevention measures must be completed by 31 October and then maintained all year round.
Town of Port Hedland Rangers will be checking for firebreak compliance from November 6.
Firebreaks are an essential control component for preventing the spread of fire.
This year, there is an increased threat of bushfires within the the Town of Port Hedland due to heavy rainfall associated with Cyclone Veronica, which increased the growth of grasses and spinifex.
