Apply for up to $10,000 with the Town's community collaboration grant

Published on Wednesday, 13 October 2021 at 8:22:20 AM

Applications for the Town’s community collaboration grant are now open, giving not-for-profit organisations the chance to apply for up to $10,000.

The grant aims to foster collaboration between community groups, identify and address gaps around service provision and promote cultural understanding and community education.

The grant encourages unexpected collaboration from vastly different groups pursuing novel and innovative ideas.

Applications which include contributions from the applicants are encouraged and will have a higher priority than those seeking 100% of project costs.

An application must be submitted from two or more organisations which are registered not-for-profit and incorporated (under Associations Incorporation Act 2015) or auspiced by an incorporated association.

CEO Carl Askew encouraged local not-for-profit organisations to apply.

“The Town’s community collaboration grant offers the largest funding amount for the remainder of this year, with not-for-profits able to apply for up to a maximum of $10,000.

“Now is the time to brainstorm with fellow not-for-profit organisations in town on creative ideas which can benefit the community: maybe your event capabilities could team with a local community group?

“Following a tough year impacted by the pandemic, the community collaboration grant could be the boost your organisation needs to set you up for the new year.”
