South Hedland Aquatic Centre Summer Deal
It's the Summer Deal of the season - from Friday 18 December until Sunday 31 January, under 16s can enter South Hedland Aquatic Centre for FREE from 12pm to 3pm - that's every day for the school holidays!
Normal pool rules apply and the Watch Around Water policy will be maintained at all times. All children under 10 years must be supervised by a person 16 years and over.
How do I take advantage of this offer?
Simply bring along the young ones in your family under 16 to South Hedland Aquatic Centre from 12pm to 3pm from Friday 18 December until Sunday 31 January and sign in at the front counter - no need to book in advance.
Why is the Town doing this?
Mayor Carter and Council wanted to provide young people with a free way to cool off from the hot Pilbara sun over the school holidays. He liaised with the Town's leadership to make this initiative possible, with the decision formally made at the Council Meeting on Wednesday 16 December 2020.
What rules do I need to follow?
In-line with the WA Health Department's COVID-19 contact registering and tracing mandate, please sign in on arrival at the facility. We're also asking patrons to help Hedland stay COVID Safe by maintaining social distancing at all times, covering coughs and sneezes with an elbow, keeping hands washed and sanitised and not attending if unwell. Standard pool rules apply at all times inside the facility.
