Procurement Officer | Level 4 - $96,779.11 (including
Port Hedland allowance)
Accountabilities:
- Provide high quality advice, information and assistance to
the organisation in support of best practice in
procurement.
- Administer and participate in all procurement activities in
accordance with the Town’s purchasing policy and
operating procedures.
- Assist to ensure compliance across all areas in
procurement.
- Chair and attend tender openings and evaluations including
undertaking evaluation and acting as an independent facilitator
and reviewer of procurement documentation.
- With the support of the Contracts Advisor draft standard
contracts for relevant procurement activities utilising up to
date templates and standard operating procedures.
- In conjunction with the Senior Procurement and Contracting
Advisor develop and routinely maintain standard operating
procedures to support team efficiency and consistency.
- Maintain effective supplier relationships to deliver
ongoing and effective contractor relationships.
- Monitor, update and maintain relevant Town registers
including the tender register and quote register.
- In conjunction with regularly report and audit reports to
the Town’s executive (regular fortnightly reports,
monthly variation reports, quarterly exemption reports).
- Provide support on the use of online procurement tools and
software products (i.e. Vendorpanel) to both Town employees,
and external contractors where relevant.
- Ongoing compliance with the relevant Work Health and Safety
Act 2020 and Regulations 2022, statutory requirements and
relevant Legislation along with WHS IOP 015 Obligations and
Responsibilities, the WHS Management Plan, policies, procedures
and work instructions.
- Act in accordance with the organisational values of Unity,
Quality and Integrity
- Ensure all corporate documentation is captured into the
Town’s record keeping system, in accordance with the
organisations Record Keeping Plan
- Other duties and responsibilities as directed within the
skill and abilities of the individual
Work Related Requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a
pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be
considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Procurement certification or experience within governance
or procurement practices
- National Police Clearance
- Current ‘C’ class drivers license
- Rights to work in Australia
