The Role

Come and share your passion for Basketball and Socials Sports with the Town of Port Hedland!

The Town of Port Hedland is looking for Casual Basketball Umpires to officiate sporting events, games and competitions fairly and safely. Within the role you will be responsible for assisting in the promotion and delivery of the Port Hedland Leisure Social Sport competition while consistently delivering a high standard of customer service to all participants. We would love to hear from you if you are passionate and experienced in social sports and most specifically in Basketball.

This position involves working on weekday evenings starting in late July 2023.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment, as well as possess or willing to obtain:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the rules and bylaws of preferred Social Sport
  • National Police Clearance
  • Working with children check
  • Rights to work in Australia
  • Umpiring qualification and First Aid Certificate are desirable but not essential
