The Role

The Health Club Supervisor is responsible for providing effective and efficient leadership to the dynamic team of fitness professionals at Wanangkura Stadium Gym and Gratwick Aquatic Centre Gym. Reporting directly to the Stadium Coordinator Operations this role will be an integral member of the largest revenue stream in Port Hedland Leisure, and as will demonstrate high level thinking, sophisticated organisational skills and an ability to both oversee and be involved in the completion of tasks and projects as directed.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

Essential Experience

  • Hold a recognised tertiary sport/leisure/fitness related qualification and demonstrated experience in fitness training including testing, prescription and monitoring of clients.
  • Experience in leading a large team in the fitness/leisure/sports industry.
  • Current “C” class driver’s license
  • Current Working with Children Check Card
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Working rights.

Desirable Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in Personal Training.
  • Previous Local Government experience with an understanding of Local Government procedures and practices.
  • Established networks in the sport, recreation and fitness industry.
  • Knowledge of sport, recreation and fitness activities in the Pilbara.
