The Role

This graduate role will be available with the Town for a 2-year fixed term opportunity. This role is predominantly responsible for implementing Council’s regulatory role under the Food Act, Public Health Act, Environmental Protection Act and other subsidiary legislation. Under the supervision of the Senior Environmental Health Officer, the position is also required to provide technical advice on environmental management, development, registered activities and to implement the Town’s mosquito management plan. Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Health)
  • Sound knowledge of water sampling techniques, microbiology and food safety hazards
  • National Police Clearance
  • Current manual drivers licence
  • Rights to work in Australia
