The Role

This is a unique opportunity to utilise your previous experience and qualifications to provide quality and timely mechanical servicing to all business units within the Town of Port Hedland. To fit seamlessly into the team you will be a positive proactive person who prioritises safety at all times.  The main focus of the role will be to repair and maintain the Town’s fleet of light plants, larger trucks and heavy earthmoving equipment.  The role will also support Depot Operations with repair and maintenance of heavy diesel plant and equipment within the Town.

The ideal candidate, along with the required qualifications and experience, will have a passion for mechanical maintenance and drive to keep equipment in top working order whilst displaying a strong commitment to safe working practices.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Mechanical trade qualification
  • Forklift ticket
  • White card
  • Current ‘HR’ class drivers licence
  • National Police Clearance
  • Rights to work in Australia
