Casual hourly rate from $35.45 - $38.27

The Role

The Town of Port Hedland is currently taking expressions of interest from reliable and motivated individuals to join our Works and Services team. The successful applicants will be expected to operate as effective team members assisting in operational activities within our Waste Operations and Parks & Gardens teams.

This is an open recruitment applicant pool. The panel will regularly monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess any applications received against the requirements of the particular vacancy. Suitable candidates will then be contacted to discuss the requirements of the role, after which appointments may be made.

Your Experience

  • Developed time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated team building skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to follow detailed instruction either verbal or written
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Previous experience as a plant operator/labourer/landscaper is highly regarded

Work Related Requirements

Work related requirements are defined in the relevant position description for each area. As a minimum, preferred applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role as well as possess:

  • MR class drivers licence
  • White Card
  • Sound knowledge and competency in the correct use in design, installation and Maintenance of commercial irrigation/park management systems
