Port Hedland Leisure

The Town of Port Hedland is currently seeking creative and motivated individuals to join our team at the Port Hedland Leisure. We are looking for someone who is passionate about health and fitness, has experience and knowledge of fitness testing and exercise programming, with excellent communication skills with a high level of motivation and ability to motivate others.

This is an open casual recruitment pool. The panel will regularly monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess any applications received on a regular basis from which appointments may be made as casual vacancies arise.

Your Experience

  • Demonstrated ability in the areas of time management, working autonomously and within a team, organisation, initiative, problem solving and conflict management skills
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of fitness testing and exercise programming
  • Excellent communication skills with a high level of motivation and ability to motivate others

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Physical Fitness of an acceptable level to perform duties of a fitness leader
  • Certificate III in Health and Fitness or equivalent with demonstrated experience in similar field
  • Hold a current First Aid certificate
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Current Working with Children’s Check
