Casual hourly rate of $36.93

The Role

The Town of Port Hedland is seeking enthusiastic and motivated casual staff to assist in the Town’s libraries. Successful applicants will perform the functions of a Library Officer, assisting in providing an effective and professional library and information service to the community of Port Hedland.

This is an open casual recruitment pool. The panel will regularly monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess any applications received on a regular basis from which appointments may be made as casual vacancies arise.

Your Experience

  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Developed time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Advanced computer literacy

Work Related Requirements

As this position will, or is likely to involve contact with children, the preferred applicant will be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card. Additionally, the preferred applicant will hold a valid driver’s licence, and will be required to under a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment, as well as meet all ‘Essential Experience’ and ‘Position Requirements’ as outlined in the relevant position description.
