Are you currently in real estate or facility management and looking for a change in pace?

A new position of Bookings Officer has become available for a hardworking individual ready hit the ground running. This position reports directly to the Manager Marketing, Events and Communication and is responsible for coordinating all bookings for Port Haven Accommodation and Town of Port Hedland parks, sporting grounds, community buildings and equipment.

The position will be based in Port Hedland, a town of rich heritage, spectacular landscapes, friendliness, a diverse and embracing community and relaxed lifestyle. As the largest bulk export port in the world, the town is home to global resource leaders and is significant to the national interest.

We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to who can liaise with all levels of the business as well as external organisations and members of the public. You will work independently to coordinate the management and administration of all bookings. This includes conducting regular facility inspections of sports reserves, community buildings and other hired facilities and logging maintenance requests that may be required in accordance with the Town’s policies and procedures.

If you are well organised, have a high level of interpersonal and customer service skills, highly developed verbal and written communication skills, advanced word processing skills, and a proven ability to work under pressure we want to hear from you.

The preferred candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and experience in venue management systems. You will also be required to undergo a pre-employment medical drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Current ‘C’ class drivers licence
  • National Police Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
