Business Case for Major Land Transaction

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Port Hedland (Town) proposes to enter a major land transaction.

The Town proposes to acquire , develop and dispose of the following parcels of land:

  • Lot 5996 of Deposited Plan 219941 Crown Land Certificate of Title Volume 2575 Folio 583

A copy of the business plan may be inspected at the Town of Port Hedland Civic Centre, 13 McGregor Street, Port Hedland and is also available at the Town managed libraries and available here

Notice of public advertisement of planning proposal - Stage 1 South Hedland Integrated Sports Hub (SHISH) - Lot 300 Hamilton Road, South Hedland

The Town has received an application for development approval for Stage 1 of the South Hedland Integrated Sports Hub at the above-mentioned property. Stage 1 of the proposal includes:

  1. Diamond baseball field and batting cages.
  2. Relocating Kevin Scott Oval, to the Western End of Wanangkura Stadium, as well as a new ALF standard oval.
  3. Nature playground area.
  4. A new multi-user sporting pavilion with changerooms, clubrooms, function facilities and umpire and tournament rooms.
  5. Exercise node.
  6. Landscaping and civil works, including carparks, bus stops, access roads and the upgrade of the intersection of Hamilton Road and North Circular Road, across the site.

Amendment No. 4 to the Town of Port Hedland Local Planning Scheme No. 7

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Port Hedland (Town) has initiated above-mentioned scheme amendment.

The proposed amendment  seeks to remove the Additional Use ‘A1’ – Caretaker’s Dwelling provisions to the subject site, being Lot 5781 (No. 18) Schillaman Street Wedgefield.

Amendment No. 5 to the Town of Port Hedland Local Planning Scheme No. 7

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Port Hedland (Town) has initiated above-mentioned scheme amendment.

Amendment No. 5 proposes the reclassification of a number of sites in the north-west of South Hedland, the subject land.  It is intended to be undertaken in conjunction with the rationalisation of lot boundaries and road and drainage reserves within the subject area.  The amendment is part of a program to facilitate land tenure resolution adjacent to the South Hedland Integrated Sports Hub (SHISH) site and to accommodate the future expansion of the South Hedland.
