Spinifex Spree Carnival is just around the corner on July 27 & 28! In preparation for the big weekend we would like to advise the community of the following:
Temporary closure of RV Overflow (McGregor Street) waste dump point
Please be advised the RV Overflow waste dump point, located off McGregor Street in Port Hedland will be temporarily closed from Friday 27 - Saturday 28 July 2018.
An alternative dump point is available at the South Hedland Landfill, located on North Circular Road in South Hedland. The facility is open from 7.30am - 4.15pm on Friday and 8.00am—3.45pm on Saturday. Please do not take caravans into the facility.
Parking for Spinifex Spree Carnival
Please be advised that traffic management will be in place along McGregor Street on Friday 27 – Saturday 28 July 2018 due to the Spinifex Spree Carnival.
Patrons accessing Town Oval for the event will be required to enter through the Turf Club entrance to access event parking. Should event parking be full, patrons are advised to park in the overflow areas located near the Turf Club. When departing the event, patrons will be directed to the exit near the Port Hedland Skate Park.
One way traffic will be in place at all times and also applies to vehicles utilising the RV Overflow.
Fireworks for Spinifex Spree Carnival
Fireworks are scheduled for 8pm Saturday 28 July. We advise all pet owners take extra precautions on this evening.
