The North West Festival has wrapped for 2018, with almost 3 000 attending the Civic Centre Gardens for a weekend of fun and entertainment.

With support from the community, sponsors and stakeholders, the Festival has cemented its place as the Pilbara’s Premier Music Festival for the 7th year in a row.

Bliss N Eso, Sheppard, Abbe May, Hands Like Houses, Bella Blakemore and JoKeira took to Saturday’s stage, driving the crowd’s energy until midnight.

The 2018 Voice winner Sam Perry, Carla Geneve, Will Smith and Megan Kelly and a group of LED Dancers provided entertainment for the whole family during the relaxed Sunday Sundowner.

Mayor Camilo said the event’s success demonstrated the Town’s aptitude in running events with widespread appeal.

“I’m pleased the Festival offers a platform for independent artists to reach new audiences and local stallholders to trade, as well as bringing International acts to the Pilbara.

“I’d like to thank all of our sponsors, particularly our Presenting Partner BHP, for making this event possible.

“I’d also like to thank everyone who attended for enjoying themselves in a safe and responsible way, and I look forward to the festival’s future.”
