Want to stand for Council? You can make a difference! Attend a Free Candidate Information Session
Residents interested in running in the upcoming Town of Port Hedland election will have the chance to learn about the role at an information session.
The candidate information session, to be held on Thursday 31 August, will provide an overview of local government, and the roles and responsibilities of the council and elected members. It will also provide an opportunity to meet with representatives from the Town of Port Hedland and the Western Australian Electoral Commission.
All candidates must be enrolled to vote by 5:00pm on 1 September 2017. Nominations for election open on 7 September 2017 and close at 4:00pm on 14 September 2017.
The information session will commence at 5.30pm at the Town of Port Hedland Council Chambers, McGregor St, Port Hedland.
