An opportunity has become available for a motivated individual to join a small and dynamic team as the Corporate Support Officer within the Corporate & Performance Directorate. The Corporate Support Officer will be responsible for providing support to all areas within the Governance team which includes Procurement, Legal, and Corporate Planning.

Our ideal applicant will have excellent time management skills, high attention to detail and have a proactive attitude. The Corporate Support Officer reports to the Senior Governance Advisor and will work on various corporate support functions including coordinating corporate documentation, providing high-level administration support at Council, Committee and other public meetings, along with coordinating central office duties. Our candidate will have a high level of writing and verbal communication skills, including assistance in policy and procedure writing and presentation skills.

The position will be based in Port Hedland, a town of rich heritage, spectacular landscapes, friendliness, a diverse and embracing community and relaxed lifestyle. As the largest bulk export port in the world, the town is home to global resource leaders and is significant to the national interest. 

The preferred candidate will have previous experience in an administrative role or hold a Diploma of Business Administration and will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Previous experience working in an administrative role
  • Current ‘C’ class manual driver’s license
  • National Police Clearance
