CT201801 - 2018-2028 Strategic Community Plan (Closed)

The 2018-2028 Draft Strategic Community Plan has been released by The Town of Port Hedland for community consultation.

The Plan, which identifies the Town’s vision and priorities for the next ten years, has a strong emphasis on the community’s aspirations, priorities and vision for the future.

The document is the result of extensive community consultation, carried out between October-December 2017, which resulted in more than 5 800 direct community interactions.

The Strategic Community Plan 2018-2028 will help inform the Town’s long-term financial planning and define clear priorities and processes.

The opportunity to provide feedback closes 5 pm Friday 27 April 2018. Following the conclusion of the consultation, public comments will be considered, and the final 2018-2028 Strategic Community Plan will be presented to Council for adoption in May 2018.

A Corporate Business Plan will then be developed to outline how the Town of Port Hedland will meet the aspirations and achieve the priorities established by the community in the Plan.

The Town of Port Hedland will run two information sessions to discuss the proposed strategies:

Thursday 19 April, 8 am - IBIS Styles Port Hedland

Thursday 26 April, 6 pm - Wanangkura Stadium

Hardcopies of the Plan are available to view at the Town of Port Hedland Civic Centre, JD Hardie Youth Zone and South and Port Hedland Libraries.
